HH the Amir stresses Qatar's firm support for Saudi Arabia

Since the end of the blockade in January this year, following the signing of the historic Al-Ula Declaration, Qatar and the former blockading nations have been making efforts to strengthen relations for the security, stability, and unity of the region.
Saudi Arabia was the first to open its airspace, land, and sea borders with Qatar, following which the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain opened their borders to the Gulf State.
As Qatar and Saudi Arabia work toward enhancing ties, it was earlier announced by the latter’s foreign minister that the Saudi embassy in Qatar will open in days.
Recently, the Saudi Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Olympic Committee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal also visited Qatar following an invitation by HE Sheikh Joaan to witness the final day games of the FIFA Club World Cup 2020.
Yesterday, in a phone call with HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stressed Qatar's firm support to the Kingdom.

During the call, HH the Amir wished the Saudi Crown Prince good health and wellness and continuous progress and prosperity for the brotherly Saudi people.
According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the two leaders reviewed the most recent developments in the region and around the world. They also highlighted their eagerness to advance joint Arab and Gulf action.
HH the Amir affirmed Qatar's support for the Saudi government, the people "and everything that would enhance the security, stability and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering its stability as an integral part of the stability of the State of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council system," according to the MOFA statement.
