On Tuesday, a massive explosion has rocked Lebanon's capital, Beirut, causing many casualties, damaging buildings, and shattering windows. The blast, which flattened much of the capital's port, was felt across the city as a giant mushroom cloud rose above it, according to Al Jazeera.

The explosion sent shockwaves across the city, causing widespread damage even on the outskirts of the capital.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear. Mohammed Fahmi, Lebanon's interior minister, said it was apparently caused by ammonium nitrate that was stored in a warehouse at the port.
Al Jazeera carried images of people trapped under rubble, many bloodied, after the massive blasts in the port area.
"The site looks like a 'wasteland' with debris seen everywhere. Cars (from the ground) were thrown three floors up onto roofs of factories here," said Al Jazeera's correspondent.
Qatar Living joins the rest of Qatar and the world in standing by Lebanon in the aftermath of the explosion in Beirut. Our condolences go out to those lives lost and those affected.
