Expatriate husband gets 7 years jail for killing wife

An expatriate living in Qatar has been sentenced to seven years in prison for murdering his wife on suspicions of adultery.

The Criminal Court convicted him of beating his wife with the handle of a vacuum cleaner and an electrical wire before pouring hot water on her body, which caused her death.

The court ordered the convicted to be deported immediately from Qatar on serving his jail term and confiscated the tools of the crime.
