Another compassionate sight from Doha… Free food for poor and unemployed!
Qatar is the richest country in the world in terms of per capita income. It has also proved many times that it has a huge heart as well.
Over time, many institutions and private individuals have come forward to support the not so fortunate around them. While some provide cooled water to workers nearby, some hotels have been known to feed the poor without expecting anything in return.
The latest act of kindness is being done by Ansar Gallery’s Al Rawdha branch. Ameer Shaji recently posted this image in the Facebook group ‘When, Where and How in Doha.’
He captioned it thus… “Now in Al Rawdha Branch. Deeds of giving are the very foundations of the world. ANSAR GALLERY free food for those who had no money to buy food or unemployed. Appreciated!”
People were quick to react to the post and proclaim their love for the initiative.
Let’s make this go viral. Three cheers to the kind hearts behind the initiative.
I could see more of advertisement than generosity
Good initiative. However nothing new about it. Happens in many places. Recently there was articles about similar generosity in Oman. There are many such disposal stands in many Indian cities. Even a restaurant in industrial area was recently in the media for giving free food to the needy. So a good initiative. Hope the likes of FFC and LULU and Carrefour can follow suit.
Maybe QL should edit the heading.
