The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Hamad and Mohammed Al Futtaim company — IKEA, has announced the recall of LATTJO bat cape costume due to the risk of strangulation or injuries to the neck for children.

The ministry said the recall comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of dealerships' commitment to follow up goods' defects and repair them to protect consumers' rights.

The ministry also stressed that it will coordinate with the dealership to follow up maintenance and repair operations and will communicate with customers to ensure implementation of the procedures to fix defects.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce urged all consumers to report any irregularities by communicating the Consumer Protection Department, which receives complaints, suggestions and inquiries through its channels of communication.

The danger lies in the fact that children possibly think they can fly with this costume. Then they might climb on the house roof and possibly jump. That's the real reason for the recall!
