Why does this happen in Hamad?
Yesterday a nurse friend who works in Hamad, had labour pain. She went there to be accepted, but they asked them to come later, though she was in real pain.On the way back,as the pain was getting more and frequent, they got into Doha clinic. She delivered very soon after reaching there.
Hamad is ridiculed by many. At the same time it is held in high esteem by few others.
But why do I keep on hearing wierd experiences from real people?
It is a real shame..but you never know what was the reason behind the story...
For me, everything is good except for some doctors receive you with a sigh, and thinking of you as a stupid for coming to them... It happened with me twice...
I dunno...
If Hamad is losing its name it is mainly because of the preferential treatment these nurses are giving to their own kith and kin. It is all too obvious for all to see !
If she works there there is no reason why she should be preferred above others in a public hospital. We should bear in mind that this hospital is overcrowded and the beds are not easily available.
whoever likes it or nto, it DOES HAPPEN in HMC
last week, my niece who is in earlir stage of pregnancy went there with spotting...and with a refence letter from local health center to Emergency......they were so rude that they did nto take her to Ermegency, but told her to come after 2 days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And seriously, They need to have a proper triage of all incoming patients in emergency to determine which are the cases that need immediate attention.
I was there few months back with my 18mths baby being referred from Pediatric emergency, Al Sadd for suspected eye injury. I was there waiting for my turn for almost 30 min till the nurse had time to see him. Then again another hour to be seen by an ophthalmologist. They do not even know that eye injury is an actual emergency than fever of patients whom she attended while I waited with my crying baby.
no doubt, the quality of service is going down at Hammad hospital.it use to be good few years back, probably its due to excessive load .
It is common practice in Hamad they will ask you to come when the fluid goes out for delivery? so many patients are not admitted even before 2 hrs. After they take the patient inside you will not get any information for long long hours. They dont give any pain reduce injection, most of the case they will stay with pain for half day.
First child? Women are always more terrified with the first child...
now for the important part:
How's the baby?
YES!!! I do agree with you, infact last week my friend was having high fever 39 Celsius, he couldn’t even keep his head straight so I took him to Hamad Emergency, he was first given a number & ask him to sit, we were waiting that our tern will come & nurse will call us for examine. But sorry to say after 1 hour I went & blasted the nurse & when I checked there is only one doctor who is in Emergency section… can you believe it…
So option left finally the nurse called our number, while my friend talking to doctor, the nurse jumped in between & said that my friend is lying about his sickness.
How dare she can say like that to a patient … (My friend made a complain now)
Its really shocking to know that same hospital employee's been treated this way...its a criminal act. But again, you cant expect too much from an organization where you would be asked your nationality first even if you apply for your entitled privelages... Such a Shame

Well, there is none on this world perfect dear.
I am really very sorry for your friend had to experience this way. But if it were me, I would probably going back to Hamad again, and insist for checking up. Since I am on Hamad list as well, for the next couple of months, I quest I should get ready with the worst. May Allah help me.
I guess some other had a very good experience and some unfortunately had to have the bad ones. My colleague had a wonderful experience there last year.
So, it is really depend on a mother's luck I believe :(
