want to donate good old clothes

I have a lot of old clothes belonging to my two daughters which no longer fit them. They are in such good condition that it feels too wasteful to throw them away. And it is too much trouble and luggage to carry it to india when I go on holiday. Does anybody know any place in Doha where I can donate them, some voluntary organisation who accepts them?

I have a huge garbage bag full of my ex boyfriend's clothes. Can someone arrange transport to pick it up? He has a nice collection of chucks as well.. all ready for new owners.

..put in ukay ukay to wag wagagan to najma (souq haraj) for raise( kidding!) Seriously! In Philippine embassy they are i guess accepting old but usable clothes for typhoon/ calamities victims in Philippines.

Or try to call the Filipino channel (ABS CBN ) for good deeds of donation and give your old clothes for charity in Philippines.

What have you done to the clothes? There is a students society who organize local trips to the poor neighborhoods in Qatar. Many families with a hand-full of children are in need of money, clothes, food and a lot of important things to get through and survive. Yes in Qatar - many people doubt that.

If you are still interested in donating the clothes, I can direct you to the people in-charge.

There are various branches of the Red Crescent where clothes can be donated, and to fund raisers - there are government laws about fund raisers etc. so before you get involved check out all the legalities please.

Good idea, why not we all come forward and organize a charity program and can collect such items amd forward to the needy countries badly hit by natural calamities!!!

Does QC accept old clothes or they take money as donation only.

Understand but if it were to raise money for charity it could be really helpful. I don't mean keep the money. In England we often had charity sales of used items and clothes and then sent the money to various causes. It could be divided between local causes such as Qaws and QC. Just an idea. All the best

I appreciate it but do u think it is possible. Also I am not comfortable with the idea of selling my kids used clothes.

Go to Qatar charity and donate them there. there are several branches in Doha and Jasmine you can find a branch of QC in Rayyan on Maizzer road.

I have lots of good quality clothes that don't fit me since my newfound gym hobby including Planet, Boden and FC. I wonder if the QL volunteers might be interested in a fundraising event? Are we allowed to do that here? As well as making money for charity, it would give us a chance to buy clothes and books that you can't get here. Just a thought...
