School Problems

I have read many posts about the schools in Doha on this website and I want to thank all QL who have provided input on this important issue. I have just been given my final contract and now we are desprately trying to find a place for our 7 year old daughter. So I ask the question what happens if we do not find a place? Is there tutor centers, home schooling groups, or any other extra activites that people who do not get spots are part of. This is the subject that I ask your expertise on. Please, anything helps as this is the only item that I am having trouble with. Is it possible for her to start at a school mid year?

Thank you for your responses.

My kids started out at Cedars last August. When American School started I handed in their applications.Since ASD at that time knew they had spaces available, my kids was allowed to be tested and got in. For us that was a good approach because they where able to learn enough additional English to pass the test. Such as mathematical expressions.

We got our kids in Compass, they may still have some places left as I think they are adding some more classes.

Thank you for the information. I will look them up. If you have any inside information you can PM me if you have time.

AbuAmerican, Thanks for this information. Do you have a contact name or email for the group? I would like to get some information. I am due into Doha in August. How is the heat. Today in Austin, Texas it is over 100 degrees and humid at 95%. I am trying to acclimate myself.

Thanks as always,

Tex

We are sending our 2 kids to this tutoring school until we can find them both places in the same school. They have a website. Try them out!
