Hi am wondering is the medical services in the QP contract covered the maternity costs?

Much appreciated for your feedback!

I have had my last two children here. First one at Doha Clinic. Husband could be present and you had a bit more say in the way things go. Cost was 5000QR for natural delivery, including epidural (whether you use it or not) and 2 night stay. If you had a C section, cost was more like 8,000QR. I think the costs have since come down for natural delivery (4ooo?). I had this baby there nearly 5 years ago, not long after it opened.

My second was in Hamad, due to the fact I had complications. As it was my fourth I knew what to expect when delivery time comes. But to be honest, their labour ward is the pits .. no real personal care, you are a number! Once out of the labour ward, everything is fine. We paid for a private room .. excellent room .. cost was 800 riyals a night. If you can possibly go private, I would recommend this. I believe the new Al Ali hospital is getting good reviews.

I also saw a private gyno for my scans. Dr Adnan. He also had the 4D machine and gave you a copy of your scan on video ... absolutely amazing.

I saw the QP clinic on my regular antenatal visits until the last 2 months.

Wishing you all the very best.

Thanks for your info. you mean your friend simultaneously saw a private gynae at the same time while in Hamad?

my friend recently delivered in Hamad and it went very well. the only problems were the check ups which werent frequent enough, so she simultaneously saw a private Gynae also.

QP will pay for delivery in Hamad hosptial only.

If you go private, you have to pay it ALL yourself.

If you go in the private room at Hamad, QP will only give you 100 riyals per night towards it.

BHappy - they do not pay for delivery in ANY Qatar hosptial, just the government one ie Hamad. I have never known QP to be pay for delivery outside of Qatar.

to Hamad it would be full covered by QP, but husband can not present at the birth. I went to American Hospital and have to pay our own.

Hope this help.

said, if the delivery is in any hospital in Qatar then the cost is fully covered and you don't have to pay a peny. Now if the delivery will be outside qatar for any reason, you will require prior approval from the QP medical center. Generally gettting approval to cover the cost of delivery outside qatar is not easy but if you have valid reason that can satisfy the medical committee, they may allow you.

Dear All,

Kind regards.

A little about myself, my QL name is Greman, I am presently in Doha, Qatar. I represent European Market Research Center (EMRC) head office in Brussels, Belgium, www.emrc.be. We usually Organize International Forums on many different subjects but mostly on Agriculture.

Presently, we have broadcasted an event to hold on the 3rd of May, 2007, in Rome, Italy (you can check for details on the website) and we are seriously preparing. We usually invite people for participation or for those who may be aware through the media, we do welcome their enrollment.

Now, the request is, I am faced with a task to invite Participants from Qatar and other part of the Gulf but I am not very familiar with the region and would really like to build on that.

The Event is an Agric Business forum and a lot of relevant subjects will be entertained among International dignitaries (Presidents, Ministers and Ambassadors) and prominent Business men from around the world, whom have already enrolled for participation. So it is going to be very good grounds for sharing of ideas, investment opportunities and also partnership.

There is this feature call award/gala night where golden awards are conferred to special Personalities in front of the whole gathering. Those awarded will gain more international recognition and their projects will be given more consideration and will be subjected to one-to-one discussions specially organized, with more privileges, stuff like that...

If there is any one who is interested in participating or who can give me more information (highly appreciated) on my invitation processes please write me a private mail or reply to this post, please.

Best regards once again and thanks a lot for your anticipated positive and soonest response.

Greman
