My heart agrees with you... its not about education... its about learning... I learnt nothing in school or college... But I did learn a lot while I was at the hostels and dorms though :-)
For the lower classes (eighth and below) you could consider other schools. But for higher classes, as of now, MES is best. The reason being that MES still has the largest number of students. And they have the most experienced and best teachers who continue teaching there because of the money they can make out of tuitions, More students, more tuitions see... So if you do send your child to MES, be ready to send him for tuitions as well, thats how the whole scheme works. :-)
Also as much as I hate to classify children as motivated and otherwise... If you do send you child to MES, he/she better be self-motivated because teacher/student ratio there is very high and it is difficult to get personal attention in class unlike say in DMIS. That goes back to what I said earlier, to get the attention, the child will need tuitions...

DONT SPOIL UR SON/ DAUGHTER
COZ EVERYONE IS BORN INTELLIGENT AND EDUCATION RUINS THEM AS A RESULT I HAVE BEEN RUINED
SO BETTER NO NEED OF ANY CBSE MBSE
I have heard from parents that DMIS is by far the better one among Indian schools in Doha.
