sony hdr cx 300

I recently purchased this sony handycam HDR CX 300, 2 days back from the citi centre. the videos as shot are good on the cam but when i transfer it to my laptop , all the edges in the videos(while in movement) like the table, sofa or even any picture frame edges are distorted - comb like edges. can anyone tell me why is it like this? any settings that shld i change for this? pls help....
