BlackBerry setup and troubleshooting
The local telecom company is the service provider, and StarLink is the sales agent for BlackBerry. Unfortunately, neither of them know ANYTHING about setup/installation and troubleshooting of the BlackBerry service!
Do you know anyone or anyplace that can help me set up the service "properly" (for multiple email IDs) on my BB?
Hi Guys,
I too have just purchased the Blackberry Curve 8320 and I relate to your problem. I have been trying to get my Blackberry Internet Service up and running but when I go to manage connections the status shows not connected. I have downloaded apps like Facebook and NYTimes for your mobile but none seem to work. All I can access is my emails and MSN messenger. Even Google talk wont work. Please help if you can, can't rely much on Q-Tel expertise.
Cheers
Kunal

yes i can help u with the blacberry issues and troubleshooting...
first of all register it with qtel.
where did you buys your from another country?
ok this is how you do it:
-Call 111 to activate BB service on your phone. For this you must have a postpaid GSM account with Qtel.
-This will cost you 125QR per month. (and you get I think 5MB download limit allowed per month)
-Now wait for your "gprs" symbol on your phones home screen to turn into "GPRS", this means that the Blackberry Service has been enables ( usually takes 2 days after calling 111 to activate BB service_
-Go to -> options -> advanced options -> host routing tables – then click on the Menu button of BlackBerry and click on “Register now”
ALso go to http://www.qtel.blackberry.com/ and register your PIN and IMEI, im not sure which one you do first but Im sure since you have the phone you can figure it out.
-Go to option,Advance Option, enterprise activation, and put your user name and password, and press “Register”
Once you are completely registered go to www.qtel.blackberry.com and login and chose all your settings., such as email settings and all
I can help you to solve your black berry issue.
