Hard water causes the hair to stand up and makes it harder to wash and it can make the hair tangled and rough. When the hair is tangled, the shampoo and conditioner is often not washed out effectively enough and so that can cause quite a few problems! If you wash in softer water you are no doubt going to have better results as the water does not leave any residue in the hair. There are some special shampoos and conditioners for use in hard water areas which are designed to help protect the hair from drying our too much. These products are generally more expensive but they do work. You can also take expert advice from forhair.com site of Dr. Cole

Its common here in Qatar. Here are few tips which helped me a lot:

1. Do not use water directly from the tap, because, high concentration of chlorine in the water.

2. Store water, let it be cool and then use for hair washing/bath.

3. Use shampoo/hair oil weekly once ONLY.

4. Once in a month, use natural Mehandi with lemon.

5. Comp hair before you go for sleep at night. This will increse blood circulation.

6. Excercise regularly.

7. If persist, go for a thyroid blood test.

Its a big problem here.

Try using a special shampoo for hairloss and only wash your hair every 3 days.

Then rinse it in drinking water.

If you are wearing hijab or gafir try to take it off as much as possible and massage your scalp.

I need a whole handful of conditioner here when i go somewhere with pure water i only need one little shampoo and my hair is gorgeous.

If it was the water causing hair fall surely the whole country would be bald by now. I suggest you go to the doctor and let him/her decide.
