drmana, i just applied my sister a visit visa from Garaffa Immigration. Which i got it already.. They still issue visit visa. In my case, they required me a copy of my wife QID. Maybe immigration is implementing a strict policies now. To lessen the visitors coming here in Qatar under visit visa.

flat14alsadd, good if that is so. I applied for my brother's family visit visa in march and they told me they have stopped issuing family visit visa to brother or sister and family meant only parents, spouse and children. I had to apply for tourist visa for him.

Its good news if they have changed it again.

Family visit visa can be extended to cover a maximum of six months only (five extendable months for immediate family members and two months for second-degree relatives).

But before that your sister will have to undergo medical.

you may try to apply for a family visit visa.. I did the same for my daughter.. you have to apply for it before her tourist visa expires.
