I used fring on my N95, it went okay. It loads skype, yahoo messenger etc. Used it over wireless network, bit patchy though, not as reliable as over a laptop.

I have a E71 that works fine with Gizmo5 and stays connected via my LAN whenever I am home. It conects via public WLAN such as the cafe outside Carrefour in LM but had to configure something to get triple play type wireless. It was very easy to install, even I could do it!

I use Gizmo5, a million times better than Skype for me. I have a Gizmo call in number as well so as long as I am in WLAN, my mum can call a number local to her small town in the UK, pay for a local call and make my mobile ring. Probably people will say yes so what or that its rubbish but I love it.

You need to subscribe to an VOIP Service provider which supports SIP Protocol (like justvoip) . Next you can install a generic VOIP on your mobile ( like Fring), Be sure your mobile supports wifi. Configure the software for the VOIP settings of the provider and you are ready to dial anywhere to any telephone or mobile.

I think u have misunderstood. Mobile has nothing to do with cheap int'l calls, its the softwares which must be compatible with ur mobile set and the way they operate. You have to visit their sites for full guidance.

use skype or nimbuzz. Download it on ur mobile and go to free wifi access point and use it.

NOTE: Be sure that skype & nimbuzz must be installed on both sides. Like u can call from ur mobile to other persons PC or mobile with the condition that the listener must have skype or nimbuzz installed in its pc or mobile too.
