The whole process for applying for an entry visa is either very simple or very complicated. I am awaiting my visa to start a 3rd stint in Qatar with the same company. First two visas issued within 10 days. The third is 6 weeks and counting. It could be a multitude of things, from a backlog due to Eid to someone in HR forgetting to apply for the visa. Yes, it happens and has happened.

Don't give up and don't sit around waiting. Be proactive. Send emails, make phone calls and push and press if you really want the job.

AMD once the validity gets over than your visa automatically get expires.... It clear status like employer do not wanna hire you...... Reason might be your employer got local person on he replacement...... Experience holder may clear on this.... Please share ur exp...

Normally, it takes around one week for a temporary visa to be issued, such that you can enter the country. The rest of the process like Medical, Police Clearance, etc.. happens once you are in the country, which takes another 3-4 weeks before you get your Qatar ID. There may be some problem with your visa, or they may have applied just before the Eid holidays. Have you worked in Qatar before, and have not yet completed two years since you have left the country?. That could be another issue. If the person is saying, its in process... it probably is in process and you should wait till you get it, unless you have another offer in hand.

from my personal experience, it took 3 weeks before I was issued a work visa. take note that it was only the transfer of my family visit visa to work visa, no Qatar ID yet. hope this helps.
