tinkerbell: well save it just for your own reference when you feel down and need a laugh..i think that's why i came to be more active on this site than just buying cars..and i like to think that i may have met one or more ql users in the real world w/out knowing it was them:-)

I lived in an old house for 3 months once, problem was, it could be locked from outside. Weird, I know. Even weirder was that there was a knock and next thing I knew, I was locked in :(

Of course I used the other door, but it was unnerving. Why do people do these things? :/

I hope your neighbor doesn't have cameras all over your house, like in creepy movies.

the problems people have lol..you are a man so its not a case of a stalker creeping out a lone woman..its also probably not a ghost although I wouldn't rule it out (considering its an old building). You mention there's bachelors living next door. It has to be one of them being a nuisance. Just confront them or put up with it. You could even take it as a joke and knock back as a game..and end up being friends with those guys, your mystery knocker included

Drill a hole in your wall and stick a camera through to get evidence that he is a peeping tom. Find the hole that he made and when you think he is looking (when you get out of the shower), poke a chop stick through. This should also provide evidence and confirmation that he is a peeping tom.

Maybe it's his glory hole? Have you seen anything odd 'coming' through it? That could explain the knocking sound.

Its is not a small thing, the person concerned is a guy who is habbitual of "peep a tom" like he got somewhere place to see ( although I searched I couldnt Find) it could be a camera its happening for the last 3 years or so and I tried hell lot of things but I couldnt catch the person, several time he spoiled my car too but who?

Wouldn't the obvious solution be to go and knock on his/her door and introduce yourself? Slowly turn the conversation into "Oh, do you hear strange knocking noises on the wall?" If that doesn't work, grab your cricket bat and go over and knee cap him...or her. Problem solved.

Perhaps the closing of the door creates a sound somewhere else in the house.

I'd ignore it however if it escalated in any way for example if they made contact or something then I would approach the police again.Probably just some randomers looking for attention

or may be the house in which you are staying is a Haunted House ? :(

I knock on my neighbour's wall when they are creating a ruckus to tell them to keep the noise down. Maybe they are doing the same.
