Mashreqbank CC.. number you never wanna call.

Guys, I just wanna share with you my experience with the Mashreqbank Call Center.
I happen to phone them at 4800480 to ask about the fee for six months bank statement, they said first 3 months is free and then you have to pay QAR 25 for each following month so that is about QAR 75 for six months in total.
The next day I went to the main branch in Doha, near Gulf Cinema (C-Ring Road) asking for the same a six months statement and the lady at the information desk says Sir QAR 150 for six months statement. I was surprised, I told her are you sure? since your customer service said QAR 75.
She replies saying what number did you phoned and who did you speak to? I told her I spoke to the 24/7 helpline on 4800480 but don’t remember the name of the person.
She rudely replied, do you not have QAR 150 to pay. I said ofcourse I do have that but it’s not the matter of money it’s the matter of wrong information. Then I took the receipt from her and went to see the branch manager, who was a true gentleman in a way. He took all the information but tried to defend his staff by saying they are real professionals but will complaint to the call center head to help customers get right information, but insisted to pay QAR 150 as the normal charges. Well, I paid the amount then and went back to the lady who said what happened? Did you call the customer service? I said yeah I did and they are now saying its QAR 90 for six months. She said the customer service doesn’t have right information and we receive people complaining about the same, which I believe is ridiculous. Anyway, eventually I got the six months statement for QAR 150.
The reason am sharing this is only to warn all the Mashreqbank customers to make sure they don’t rely on the info from the customer service and instead visit the nearest branch, if needed approach the bank manager.
Cheers!!

Customer service sucks in all the banks .. people who attend the phone just dont know anything about their prodcuts and services and most of them are confused (and ofcourse, get angry fast too.)

Rezy.. I know the fees now, the point is that the customer service (24/7 helpdesk) doesnt have the right information. Which I believe is a disaster for any customer. How would one rely on their info.

Cheers
