Lost my driving license.

Hi
I have lost my driving license?will anyone guide me how to get a duplicate one and how much time it will take?do I have to register a police complaint for the loss of license?
If i get the duplicate license will the earlier one will get cancelled?
kindly help

I lost my licence too .. but all i had to do was ..a vist to Traffic department (Madinat Khalifah) i told the lady i lost my lic. gave her my ID and she processed it for me... NO biggie... short & simple.. i guess there was a payment of 100 qrs. as well...
