I need advice for delivery/labour in Hamad or Wakra Hospital. I am 4 months pregnant

I am now 4 months pregnant. I am very disturbed since the time I came to knew that during your labour and delivery there are male doctor’s and male staff present during your delivery. I am not at all comfortable with it. Maybe I sound orthodox or narrow minded. I cannot manage to spend in private hospitals.
Can anyone please suggest what exactly happens during delivery and labour here and who all are present during ur delivery?
I am vet nervous and stressed cos of it.
I would appreciate if you can share your but of experince and advice me.
Thanks for all the helpful advices.
I delivered a baby girl in Wakra Hospital. And all my prayers were answered as all the staff out there was female including duty docs.
But though there were some last min complications to which the staff out there handled very professionally and still delivered normal.
Thanks again!
If you are lucky you will get lady doctor when that moment comes.
Sana, You can decide now after proper thinking for yourself. But do it early so that you may not be in a hurry to fly out. Joys.
when you go into labour the on duty doctor will do the delivery. It could be a male or female.Depends on duty rooster. Generally the nursing and help staff are all female.
Advice is better to get mentally prepared that either a male/female doc will be there during delivery. Other option fly back to your country(28 weeks without doc clearance, within 35 weeks after doc clearance) and get it done by a female doc.
Accha, I understand your point of view but this will cause trouble for her husband as he would also have to make arrangement, take leave, for her travel & return etc. It will be expensive as well. She needs to rethink for 3 days.
Molten Metal just does not know yet about women from the East especially from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka etc. In my country, there is not a single Male gynecologist/obstetrician.
In your case, suggest you plan on travelling back to your country say around the 7th month and deliver there. Just to add, usually airlines hesitate on accepting passengers beyond the 7th month of pregnancy. If you do decide to go home, take all your medical prescriptions and reports from here with you.
Sana, Congrats, This is different from one person to the other, I am fully agree with you. Your worries are genuine. But my suggestion is you should keep looking for the lovely moment for the arrival of a new baby. Doctors do this type of job everyday, they do not feel who is there and we don't know each other also. It is a routine for the medical staff. Have you selected the name for the cutie ?
