How do students here even find jobs?
I'm a college junior studying in the States but I still come to Doha over breaks to visit family. Student jobs in the States are not that difficult to come by, but here how can students find jobs? It seems like there is no space at all for the small part time jobs students usually occupy. Does anyone have any ideas how can a student get a temporary job here for the summer?
I have a proper RP...I come back every semester so it stays valid...but student jobs here are impossible to come by
brit, the American School of Doha used to hire my children for these kind of jobs, but they had a valid RP.
Qatar can get cheap labour so no need for students to be employed
And ... you need to have a valid Qatar Residence Permit to work. Companies get fined if the hire people without it.
Enjoy your holiday in Qatar. Unless your family has some connections it is almost impossible.
