Buying cars in Qatar
By Universal-Enter... •
Hi - I will have a 2 year contract in Qatar and was wondering the lowdown on personal car purchases - are cars generally cheaper in Qatar and by how much? What I want to do is to buy a car whilst I am there and then keep it, export it to UK and re-sell it - hopefully at a profit. Is it a goer? how long do i have to keep it for before export? and how long do i have to keep it for in UK before i sell it?
Excellent plan...
cars here are so expensive
Frist of all! in QATAR LHD(Left Hand Drive) in UK RHD(Right Hand Drive).... How will u manage LHD to RHD???
Secondly! there is no year of made for car to move from one place to another.. If u want Sea Shipment to UK, its cheaper then Air Shipment but u'll have to get ur car from QATAR to DUBAI first then make shipment from there..
So prefer u to use here in QATAR only and SELL it and go back to UK and BUY new one.....
I think your plan is unrealistic. Cars aren't less expensive and the miles you put on them rough city/desert miles.
What about conversion from left hand drive in Qatar to RHD in UK?
conversion isn't that simple and cheap!
It would be better to ask UK sources as to import tax on a used vehicle and research transport fees.
KARAKUNNATH
i have been working in different part of GCC... but i found the UAE an Qatar are most costlly for used and new car buying,
it would be more expensive to take it to UK,
not recommended...
Good Luck...
