Beauty salon home service issue
I have been getting rebonding done from Doha Beauty Salon from almost 15/16 years on yearly basis. Although the prices of rebonding have shot up double, but at least the service is reliable and I was always satisfied that my hair r in safe hands. Last year I paid almost 1500 foe six hours procedure and it is permanent. We only need to get it done again to the new growth.
Recently, I saw a home based service in FB and the owner actually was in the process of opening a new salon here. When I checked their prices it was almost 450. I thought of giving them a try and since they were Filipinos, I knew I can trust them in rebonding.
They ask for transport charges per way which is Qar 25/- for my area.
Anyway the lady came and did that procedure but she finished in less than three hours time.
My hair from thr front were grey and she dyed by her choice even though I said dye doesnt suit me. She mixed dyed in rebonding cream itself and applied. I came to know about it only when she washed.
When I requested for a haircut and showed her the picture first, I specifically told her not to reduce the length. She not only reduced my hair to half but cut my hair with men's beard trimmer and within seven mins she was done.
I was devastated and asked her about this dye n haircut blunder but she gave excuses. Anyways after three days when I washed my hair, they were like burnt. And bald patches were there.
I called the owner and told her about the whole story and askes her ro send her lady and fix the issue without further payment. She agreed and sent her again after three days. The lady again applied the whole procedure. This time I told her to come and check and wash after three days and see if its over or not.
Anyways, after three days she came and again it was worst than before. I spoke to the owner again and told her I am not new to rebonding but this is too much. U need to fix this now. She sent again that lady now againwith new keratin treatment. But before she started I made it clear to her that she played with my hair ans scalp and I have burnt hair and bald patches because of her. My hair is very short now. So this time whatever treatment she applies after three days I ll go back to my regular Doha beauty salon and will let them wash and tell me what has been down to my hair. And if my hair requires any treatment or if haircut is wrong, i ll get that all fixed by doha beauty and she has to bear all the expenses. She agreed and same I told to her owner too, she too agreed.
Now after three days when I went there, after washing they told me haircut is totally wrong. Hair is burnt till roots. Lots of bald patches were there.
They told me i have to use a specific shampoo and conditioner for my hair condition now and the cost of that bottle is 90+90.
I have to undergo Cavier 3d treatment, maybe have to take 5/6 sessions and each session will be for four hours and will cost me 700 in every sitting.
Haircut fixture will take 70.
Baldness treatment medicine will cost 340. And it has to be uses foe six months to see prominent results.
I called this owner and told her everything and said that see u got two options.
First, I go to consumer protection n file complaint. You ll get penalized pkus ur beautician will get banned foe using medicines not approved by baladiya third you might get problems in getting approval for ur salon and maybe you have to pay me damages too .
Second,peaceful option is that. Whatever damage ur employee has done to my hair and scalp, you pay for that until it is resolved whether it takes 7/8 sessions or a year. Pay for the haircut once only to get them fixed, pay for that specific shampoo and conditiner which I have to use after this damage and pay for hair. Scalp and baldness treatment.
After a heated argument,she understood that I was right and I was trying to help her by not going to police or consumer protection and get this issue fixed. Treatment wasnt done of 700 as my beautician went on vacation. And she paid for hairwash, baldness medicine and shampoo n conditioner.
Now after a month when I sent her back whatsapp messages that Miss Lynn is back from vacation and as promised by you, ill be going to get this treatment. She dint see my messages foe long time. And even after seeing she dint bother to reply back.
When I tried to call she wasnt picking her phone either.
Tried again then she said we already paid u enough of compensation. When i cooy pasted what we agrees before and told her that you r not staying on ur words. She simply said we will check and will let u know. But until now no answer.
Now what shall I do. Shall I complain in consumer department. Or any other place to make complaint.
If any advise, i would appreciate it.
By the way i got my original amount back from her too foe hair cut, rebonding too.
Well you should have gone to consumer protection on the first place with out given the notice/warning. But since you have suffered a lot please now take this to the concern authorities, tell them all in detail. Once they get their hands on the beauticians/owner, you can claim compensation. In this way not only you will be at ease, you will be protecting several other customers. You have all the rights to file charges against the beautician and the owner. Use it..
