Hi Friends , Planning for a trip to INLAND Beach Doha. But I don't have any driving experience thru DUNES ! This will be my first driving exp. in Dunes.

It would would be helpful , if anyone can advice on , 1. Which vehicle is better on that route ,Toyota Fortuner or Pajero ? 2) Is there any big risky slops in that way ? 3. Is it necessary to adjust the Tyre pressure ? 4) Any other important things before start the Trip .

Thank you in advance ...

I am going to assume that you are referring to the "Qatar Offroaders" event, and if so, you shouldn't worry. There will be 2 routes for the trip, one for experienced drivers, and an easier trail for new drivers like yourself.

As far as the cars are concerned, both will suffice and get you through the dunes/

Lowering the tire pressure is extremely important and you will most likely get stuck if you don't. The recommended tire pressure is between 15-20 psi. After you are done with the dunes, you can refill your tires immediately with a portable compressor, or at the petrol station right next to the dunes for 5qr.

It's best you don't try to drive "thru" Dunes.

The Pajero is probably better than the Fortuner

If you are new, then don't let your ego get the better of you.

Play safe, drive slowly and attempt dunes which are within your means.

Yes, you should adjust the tyre pressure. Lower it by 30% if possible.

The main thing to remember is the gearing and the speeds. Listen to what the car is doing and the engine is telling you. Don't try and copy others.

Good luck
