Dear all, I have a chance to get a job as a tennis coach in Doha. The hotel offers a salary of 2150 QAR. That's 480 EUR and I that kind of money is not that great even in my country (I am from the Balkans). No further details are given, but I presume it's impossible to survive with that amount so I guess the hotel provides the accommodation and food. If that's the case, is it worth taking the job?

@Tex Willer...dont take it as Macedonia standard of salary is higher than what they offered you...try to negotiate a bit...remember Alexander the Great ;-)

Thank you all for your advises. I still don't have the details regarding food, accommodation, plane ticket (which I presume will be provided as usual), social and medical insurance, taxes and so on....

@Newton_Texas I am from Macedonia.

Tex if you are particular about an international exposure or experience then you have to start from somewhere. As your sponsor seems to be a hotel then most probably your food and accommodation part will be taken care of. Being a tennis coach you will have your work place in the hotel and no travel is involved. So if you do not have habits like smoking or drinking then perhaps you can accept the offer if you are desperate to come to the Gulf. If you are lucky to get acquainted with a high profile student then you can make it big. Just try to negotiate for a slightly higher start if possible.

As you said, even that amount is not enough in your country. Try to negotiate. For sure, they will rise the offer, if you are really qualified to the position and if they really interested with you.
