What is your definition of an accountant? Just a BCom degree? That is a commerce graduate and not an accountant. Take a course in any accounting system – peachtree, tally, greatplains etc. Once you’ve done that offer to do some personal accounts of a proprietary firm/small co. Gain some experience in posting, finalization of accounts etc. The middle east is not the place for you to gain experience – if you are lucky that someone does hires you. If you are from India, you should have got some experience there and then searched for an opportunity here – then plentiful. If you do not wish to do that – keep your expectations low and see whether you get a break. All the best
Not only for accountants, for any post, employers look for experience. Me too had the same experience long back, but at last forced to work for a company with a small salary. Now your aim should not be a big salary, but to make experience. Best wishes.
