ORACLE end-of-file *HELP

I get the following error while trying to connect to oracle database using SQL.

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

and also while using connection thru VB6
strConnection = "Provider=MSDataShape;Data Provider=MSDAORA.1;Password=STOCK;User ID=STOCK;Persist Security Info=True"

The Oracle version is 9.2.0.1.0 on local PC.

sometimes it works, now very often it gives this error
Does it has a network or firewall / security issue or the
file size. PLEASE HELP

Stop the firewall and check... its due to network.
