Advice needed, Cannot find School for 4 year old child.

I have been living in Qatar for 9 years.
I applied for school places well in advance for my 4 year old child, to date, I have no place confirmed, and I am on the waiting list still for most of the schools I have contacted.
I am fully aware of the shortage of school places for reception, is anyone else going through the same ordeal?
Its incredibly stressful and there is no support out there for parents going through this.

Any advice?

On a serious note...I think we expats need to get together and set up a large school by ourselves. We can all be shareholders and assign a committee to run it from our experienced lot. Who wants to join in?

Be prepared to wait a couple of years for a space - any maybe something will crop up earlier - After 18 months of waiting we finally got a call from DESS with a place in year 2
