Of course PS3 is better than PS2.

But the variety of games in PS2 is much broader.

However, PS3 has exceptional game feel and quality.

Plus PS3 is the cheapest Blu Ray palyer available in the market right now.

Playstation 3 is the latest so it is the best. Nothing to beat the graphics and experience. Ofcourse you need to have an HD tv to expeirence that. In addition the PS3 has a blu-ray player so you can borrow/steal movies that has unmatched images and sound. Playstation 3 comes at a price though. QR 1,600 for only the machine. Games cost around QR 200.

Playstation 2 is cheap and has right now a huge database of games which can be played. It would cost you QR 550. (with 2 games free). Games are much cheaper and if you chip it then games can be picked up for QR 15.

If you like racing/first person graphic oriented games then the PS3 is great. PS2 machine and titles are cheap and will get you into the gaming mode.

The wii is awesome for family fun. I have a PS3 and now thinking of picking up the wii in addition.
