recently hired a live in maid (yay!!!!) and we are setting up her quarters.. got her a tv and dvd player so she'll feel "at home" in her room (and wont wander too much in our house as we love our privacy.. ).. just wondering where i can buy a simple and not costly single bed. Also need a plastic dresser (you know, like the one we have in the philippines, OROCAN for example.. )for her clothes and to where we can put her tv and dvd on top of it. i assume carrefour or home centre will be too expensive for what i'm looking for?? never really looked around yet but your inputs will be very helpful. thanks in advance..

spend the extra bit of money and get something that is usable for other reasons. Otherwise in a few months you will be having to replace them due to breakage.

You can look also in the classified ads for people who are moving and have to get rid of furniture quickly. Prices are usually quite good.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.

at Home Center. Those plastic thingys break too easily. If you buy a proper wooden dresser it can be used to place the TV/dvd player on top, thereby serving two purposes. Carrefour and Home Center are not very expensive. if I was at home, I would consider them bottom of the line type of stores.

Plastic dresser thingy can be found in Dasman Centre on Airport road. As you enter the store proper, turn immediate right.

Did you Google it first?
