Misguiding promotion by CentrePoint At doha
Few days before this Ramadan we had received flyers from different shops offering Ramadan special offerings. One of them from Centrepoint saying "Ramadan's Best Offerings". The offer was "On every purchase of QR 150 at Babyshop get a gift voucher Qr.30 redeemable at Shoe mart,Splash and City Lifestyle" - So we went there to buy Baby Car seat for our son. We purchased it for QR 420. And when we asked Babyshop for our gift voucher..they said the offer is finished.
Now I think this is a pure decieve from Centrepoint babyshop. Customer have not asked them for any type of discount,if they have offered it they should give it.and this is not the loyal practice from Babyshop...
We had seen the back of the broucher...but everything was written in arabic.
I am sure there's a validity date printed somewhere on the flyer!
did you read the fine print before you purchased?
I'm very surprised that there aren't ever legal implications to these types of promos here. I work in advertising/marketing and basically every other leading country in the world makes it a requirement to include a legal line on the promotional piece (poster, coupon, brochure) stating what the promo is, the specific dates of it, the cash value of it etc. - It's such a simple process...I don't get it...
