I'm looking for suggestions on reputable second hand car dealers.

We are looking for SUV's in particular - BMW, Volvo or VW.

I keep hearing drivers are crazy in Doha and that we should go for a bigger than usual car. In Europe the trend is for smaller cars. Is the driving really that chaotic and scary?!

Well Japanese car not only because of aggressive driving but also Air condition of these cars are better than European ones as the climate is different .

I always advice with MAZDA , strong , economic , and perfect AC .

As you've noticed majority of the cars here are made in Japan...so there must be a reason for this. When I first came down here I was looking also for buying a european car, but now I'm happy that I didn't do it. First of all it is true that the attitude of the drivers here is much different than european divers, so it is a risky to buy second hand car which has been driven around here. The desert is close so there is no any guarantees that your ''new'' SUV has not been trough some interesting performances out there, I have some experience by my own. The maintanance of european cars is more expensive than the japanese and I'm in big doubt that any service or dealer can offer a good service for european cars. Domasco (Volvo) is on Salwa Road, as many of the car dealers but the price of 3 year old 4x4 is very close to the price of brand new Nissan 4x4. Anyway one is sure: as soon as I go back to Europe I'll drive again VW, but not here! Good luck!
