it isn't a good thought. Y cant i bring my FX35 to India?? I have seen a FJ (qatari number plate) when i was on my way to airport (at kochin a/p). Do you think CRV is only the vehicle any indian can export/ or take for a vocation?? bad thought..!

If you take a Honda CRV from here to convert from Left hand drive to Right Drive it self is a big headache and it wont be as perfect as the company made. You get all brands in India now,it is worth to take some sports cars only

I have not heard anybody taking a car to India for vacation. Car reaching India by ship/ Clearing from customs itself is a lengthy process you can not plan anything.

Who takes Honda CRV to India. Everybody will laugh. There are pleanty of latest cars now manufactured and available in India. If you take Mercedes Benz latest model or some sports car from here, then it is worth. So better sell your car and buy a good car in India.

Xceptional... does the same tax is applicable, if taking the vehicle for the vocation (say a month) as well? Any reply appreciated.

Check this link..it seems you'd have to pay 105% of the value of your vehicle !!
