Clarification on visa change

Hi. I am new to Doha and I am working in a construction firm for the past 6 months. I have found another company with good salary as in my present company I am unable to bring my family. My doubt is if i cancel my visa and return to my home country, will i be able to come back and take up the new job. My company has mentioned that they cannot give me a NOC for change of sponsorship (called release I guess). Can anyone clarify
1. if i cancel my visa and exit then the employer's visa is not lost (I mean the visa quota for his company) and he can use that visa to appoint someone else. But if it is “change of sponsorship” then he loses his visa. If my present employer does not lose his visa then i could convince him to provide me with a NOC so that i can move to the new company.
2. Is there a restriction of minimum period of 1 year before I can cancel my present visa and then come back again?
3. What is the minimum salary needed in order to bring my family on residence?

Please do share the info as i find it very difficult without my family.
