I have compared prices at a number of places and believe that Gulf Exchange is the best place to buy gold. There was a difference of around 1/2% between the rate at Al Fardan and Gulf Exchange on a 50gm PAMP Gold bar.

Dont go to the shops behind Fardan Center on Grand Hamad as they tend to charge a 7-10% premium.
