Overeating following a day of fasting is no mean feat. All I can manage is three dates and water and I'm full enough!
But yes I get the gist of the article itself. People have truly forgotten what Ramadhan is all about. Ramadhan is the month the Holy Quran was revealed and it is the month the Prophet and His companions spent devoutly in worship specially at nights.
Sadly today many the world over concentrate on Ifthar and Suhour as though they are mini Eids and celebrate them throughout the night with hardly a pause for any prayer! One only needs to have a peek at what those adverts for "Ramadhan tents" have to offer. Allahu Must3aan!
Finally I think the best diet in the world for anytime of the year, specially in Ramadhan when all we need food for is to make us stronger for our worship and fasting, was established by Muhammed(Peace be upon him) ie : "It is sufficient for the son of Aadam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going. If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one third with drink and one third with air"
