As long as we were unmarried and staying at home she never asked us to help out in household chores at all. She preferred we concentrated on our careers and studies and did all the cooking and cleaning herself.
And though I love her for all her sacrifices, I have resolved to always make sure my daughter learns to run a home as much as she does anything else. Why? Because the day I first moved into my own place I had no clue what on earth I was supposed to do and had to undergo a crash course in even basic cooking and cleaning!
Kids must always be taught to clean up after themselves from childhood, and once old enough to do basic household chores too. Mollycoddling them might only prove detrimental to there future!
