I agree Brit. The saying does make sense. It's just a pity that most of the people so quick to project shame on others don't take the time to consider their own shameful behavior.
Should you feel shame for not treating your maid with respect, or not paying your driver, or keeping their passport, or smoking at Starbucks, or talking in movies, or cutting people off in traffic, or picking up girls at bars?
