They aren't exactly the same, Prism, but there are parallels. I've seen the guys in the yellow jumpsuits pushing brooms up the street to collect the rubbish, so why is it more wrong to leave your rubbish in the streets than in cafes?
In a perfect world wouldn't we all just take 15 seconds to put our rubbish in the bin on our way out of Starbucks?
To me, there is no excuse for leaving it lying there with the expectation that someone will just magically appear to clear up after you.
