As a person living in Qatar, I can align myself to what '2022 has to say and add a point or tow.
First off There is no banning what so ever except drinking in public, as long as you are a non Muslim? These restaurants in Pearl catered them openly and they were curtained. There are bars/ 5 star restaurants where it’s free flowing and if you want to have it home or throw a party, you can buy it from Qatar Distribution Company if you have a permit for it.
Secondly, like every place, Qatar and most of Middle-east has its own religious/cultural sentiments and curtailments. You are expected to honor them while you are here.
