everything is not sure.  It can be in days, in weeks or if you are unlucky, it could turn to year.  What precisely is "planning" you are talking about?  You should be ready by now since you opted to sign for a contract.  Have you given your current employer a resignation letter, because as I undertand they can not issue you a working visa unless you cancelled your visa there in Saudi (hope I'm wrong).  MAybe they will give you a business visa to transfer here and process your working visa when you are here and cancelled your Saudi's working visa.

I think, your family need to go home first before they could follow you here! I hope I'm wrong in my assumption!
