reminded that this is Qatar and this is Middle East. The OP was not giving instruction but a suggestion. If you want to comply, fine, if you don't like, it's also fine. Why are some so mean in their comments. And if in an UNLUCKY day came in trouble because of improper attire, who to blame? The country laws and culture? Because others are doing it so everyone can follow? Is that it?
That is why in our country, there is a PDOS, pre-departure orienation seminar, to which all those bound to middle east or any country are oriented about the culture of the country they will work on. This is to minimize (if not totaly eliminate) "any" bad consequence if you don't follow the local culture and tradition.
Not all day is a lucky day! Testing the limitation is sometimes thrilling, but .......
