You should try Animato in the Movenpick tower. They are very family friendly. They even have a section with toys, etc.
Their seafood is of a high quality. They have huge prawns, scallops, smoked salmon, oysters, crab cakes, sushi, along with roast beef, pasta dishes, soups, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, etc.
If you have the Entertainer voucher book you'll be able to 'buy one get one free'. Last time I went it was 199 QAR per person. Well worth it when you get one for free. :)
