On the human rights front, I think it would be beneficial for Qatar to follow the course set by the other GCC countries in regards to the Visa and sponsorship changes. But seeing how money makes the world go around, and everything in Qatar seems to be about the haves and the have-nots, nothing will change. The "win" of the 2022 WC bid further strengthens this country's thought of their policy is the "right" policy. Because why implement change, when you can keep everything as it currently is and get what you want?
