As suggested above, call 44888888 only if you have nothing else to do that day. Wait for hours on the road or in the house while the Karwa taxi will arrive.
The same happens to traffic police also in case you met with a minor accident. Better you hit hard and block the road, Ambulance and Police will reach in minutes, sometime fire Brigade also.
