So Dubai is about booze, beaches and shopping.

Am I right in thinking that Ramadan means:

* No booze ,or for that matter a decent array of food what with all the cafes and restaurants having to close like in Doha.

* It's too hot to go to the beach, and even if you did, you could sit by the water with even a glass of evian in your hand, much less a Pina Colada.

* The shops will be observing similar opening and closing policies as Doha - open briefly in the morning, closed for the rest of the day, then crowded like hell in the evenings.

Good deal or not, I think I'd prefer just to stay here rather than waste my money travelling to Dubai in Ramadan.

Don't forget - the reason there are special prices to Dubai in Ramadan is because no one wants to go, and for good reason.
