if your room purpose is recording studio... use the standard foam insulations... and be it installed with the aid of carpenters...

but if for home use only.... egg trays would be cost efficient... just buy egg trays in local shop and wooden tacks or shoe tacks will do fixed well...

TIP: use two different colored egg trays and install alternately... the design afterwards will be amazingly appealing...
