I find it kind of amusing how ajinasma seems to associate being European with improper dress. Now I don't know about this dude, but that is a massive overgeneralisation. There are plenty of europeans who wear decent clothing. I am not denying that Europeans do sometimes wear revealing clothing, but that's missing the point. I have noticed whenever i have been out and about in Doha that some girls wearing hijab (I underline the some part of this sentence as obviously not all hijabies are like this) but wearing skin tight clothing ... so tell me, does the hijab somehow make tight clothing respectable? AM I missing a valuable point here? To me a hijabie wearing tight clothing is as indecent as a european wearing tight clothing - there is no difference apart from what's on the head.
So, the general issue is, quit it with the overgeneralisations here, becuase, in my humble view anyway (others will disagree and that's fine), if u really stare at the situation as it is, these hijabed girls wear tight clothes becuase they think htey look good - and their own culture/heritage/religion doesn't really seem to affect their choice in clothing too much.
Maybe i have got the wrong end of the stick here, it just seems odd and really trifling to lump all the "blame" onto a whole region of the world.
