Just yesterday evening around 5:00 p.m., my husband and I were out of our car and in front of our villa (located across from the airport). A man in a thobe driving a new Nissan stopped his car and asked if we had any money. There were two women in abayas and two small children in car with this man. He explained, in English, that he had to get his car here from Saudi and needed money. My husband told him that he didn't have any extra cash. He then rolled up his window and left.
My husband said that this was the second time he has been approached in 5 months. The first time was in a parking lot. It was a different man, also driving a new car. He was telling a similar story about getting a vehicle to or from Saudi.
This sounds like begging to me. I was curious if anyone else has experienced this sort situation?
