The west exploit this misapplication of the concept to tarnish Islam and the muslims as they have tarnished the concept of Jihad, the role of the woman; marriage in Islam and the like for the better part of 1000 years.
One only needs to read a western newspaper or watch western TV to conlude that the women in the west have no concept of honour. They, in general, are exploited and belittled to sell products and services. Women are no more than objects in capitalism; ready to be used and abused; as prostitutes; sex slaves; and mistresses and no more than meat to be consumed and used.
Thus the irony in the wests stance when it comes to honour and the need to protect muslims societies from the ills that have befallen the west...where the concept of family no longer exists; the number of 'bastard\ children has reached record proportions and with it the number of single women uable to make ends meet whilst the fatherless children struggle when the wholesome and required inputs from fathers is absent. Are the people then surprised at the number of mental disorders in the west?
